Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite blogging conferences. Why? Because some of you have asked me questions about the “how” of blogging as a business and I am hoping to give you some info to help you get started. I am thrilled to be an official Conference Partner for the Type-A-Parent conference this June 22-24th in Charlotte, NC . And even though I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to blog, if you are interested in blogging as a business there are definitely some best practices that are helpful.
One of the best ways to get mad information in a short amount of time is to attend a conference. Most of my learning has come from conferences. Yes, you can read “blogging” blogs and get some great information, but there is something about being in a room full of like-minded people sharing information in real time that just takes it up a notch. And it just so happens that this is the last week to get registered for the Type-A-Parent conference in Charlotte at the discounted rate (affiliate link). If you go to one conference this year, Type-A-Parent is the one you don’t want to miss.
That’s a pretty big statement, no?
Granted, I haven’t been to every single blogging conference. There are tons of fantastic options and a lot depends on geography, I know. But the amount of quality information and interaction found at Type-A is unmatched in my experience. And this year the conference is in Charlotte, NC, so just a quick drive down the road for me. WIN!
If you are looking for a blogging conference to attend this summer, here is a little bit more info about one of my favorites straight from the source.
Type-A Parent Conference, in its fourth year, is designed to help social media/blogging parents and the companies who want to connect with them take it to the next level. The conference will feature some of the most influential, admired and insightful bloggers and social media thought leaders talking about topics like power networking, branding, blogging, finding your voice, and turning your passion for blogging into a real paycheck.
I plan to be there with my laptop charged and ready for note-taking madness. I can’t wait! And while this conference has “parent” in the title, don’t be fooled. It’s for everyone. You don’t have to have a parenting blog at all! Maybe you just so happen to be a parent who blogs. Maybe you are a lifestyle blogger looking for tips, or maybe you have a stellar food blog that you want to take to the next level. Whatever your goals, Type-A can help you get there.
Remember that early bird registration ends THIS month! You can register for Type-A-Parent here (affiliate link). Use CODE LILKIDTHINGS to get 20% off for a limited time! You can also enter to win a free conference pass over at Ella Media!
