Oh we are right on the brink of potty training. I just know it. Almost daily Oscar asks to go sit on the potty or on his ‘elmo seat’ and I happily oblige wondering if today will be the day. So far, we are still obliging and waiting, but I know it won’t be long.
Oscar has never been interested in the smaller potties that are on the market so we decided to get him a seat to use on the regular commode. However, the one step stool we have lives in the kitchen and our bathroom is pretty small so we have to lift his 38lb behind up and down every time he wants to try.
As a pregnant woman entering my third trimester, this is getting difficult.
I don’t really think we NEED a lot of apparatus and training and books and what not to teach kids how to use the potty. But this little contraption sure is cool. Little Looster is a U shaped step stool that wraps around the base of the commode so kids and adults can use it without having to move the stool every time!
It should come as no surprise that this was invented by a mom of 3 who knew there had to be a better way! Her name is Monica Mylet and she is the brain behind the entire operation.
Popular potty training advice says that kids like being able to rest their feet on something and having a step provides a sense of security for little wigglers. It is also a great way to let them potty on their own and save your back in the process!
Would you like to win one? Good, cuz Little Looster is giving away a step stool to one Lil-Kid-Things reader!
