Oscar only has another week of school left, which means we will be looking to fill our days with lots of fun summer activities! I have a few ideas up my sleeve, but one thing I look forward to is enjoying the outdoors as much as we can.
One of our favorite places to play is the local Airport Observation Park. We love to watch planes take off, have lunch and play with in the giant sand box! The only downside is there is virtually no shade. As in, none.
When we were in Florida last month, we were really great about remembering to wear sunscreen. But I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to our day to day lives here in NC, I am definitely not as diligent. However, now that summer is almost here, there really isn’t a choice. We have to protect our skin!
We are pretty picky about sunscreen though, so when I heard about Beyond Coastal’s Natural line I was eager to try it. I generally stick to the natural lotions because the whole point of not getting sunburned is to prevent cancer. Why would I use chemicals that can lead to cancer? Does not compute.
I feel good about using Beyond Coastal with the boys. It smells good, goes on easy and is waterproof so I know it will last. I also really REALLY love the face stick! Trying to apply lotion to a toddler’s face (not to mention a baby’s face) is like trying to wrestle a greased pig. And that is not something I have ever done, so I can say with confidence that I would be very bad at it. The face stick goes on easy and smooth which means everyone is happy and grease free!
