My style aside from yoga pants and nursing tanks, typically falls into two categories. In the summer it’s a sundress or light jeans with a flowy shirt and light cardigan with sandals. In the colder months, I like to take advantage of the layering opportunities and a slim leg with a bulkier top. So it’s jeans and leggings with layers and always a cardigan.
Shoes in the Fall are more fun for me as I LOVE boots and clogs. This year I plan to get a lot of wear out of my wellies and riding boots, but I need a new clog to round out the collection. I also want to add some casual sneakers to the mix since I will be chasing around not one, but two active little boys.
I don’t claim to be a fashion expert, but after exploring the wonderful world of Pinterest for Fall looks, I find that I am drawn to a few specific colors and accents.
Pumpkin, Plum and Mushroom
Ok let’s face it, I love earth tones, which is probably why I love Fall so much. But the fact that these shades also double as food just puts me over the edge. I find myself drawn to these colors over and over and over. Oh and don’t forget the mustard!
I have seen these everywhere and can’t wait to get my hands on some for the upcoming cooler weather. They just add such a fun layer of warmth and texture. Plus those boots are hot.
This bad boy is in my cart at this very moment. I love everything about it and I think I will cry real tears if it doesn’t look right on me.
Of course I will probably have a much more toned down look most days (See: yoga pants). As much as I want to be that stylish mom flitting about town, I am still a creature of comfort so something like this is much more likely to be my uniform.
Including the coffee.
All in all I feel like I am drawn to comfortable warm clothes that come with coffee and expensive watches. I think I can live with that.
