Ok y’all things are getting serious. The Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend is just 39 days away! For me this means I am in full on get it together mode. My first half marathon was in October, which meant I trained during warmer weather and sunny mornings. Training in the colder months has definitely been more of a challenge for me. Add the holiday season to that and well, I may be panicking a bit.
I am thrilled to be participating in the first ever Glass Slipper Challenge. Taking this on means I will run the Enchanted 10k on Saturday and then the Princess Half Marathon on Sunday for a total distance of 19.3 miles and three shiny medals! I am really excited but definitely need to focus more over the next few weeks. I’ve started tracking my nutrition again and am drinking extra water along with my training plan.
It was so much fun watching friends and runners over the past few days during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. It got me so excited for my event! I can’t believe the time has almost come after almost a year of planning.
I know what you’re thinking….. Will she wear a costume?
The answer is yes, of course. In fact, I will have two! One for each race. You’ll have to stay tuned to see what they are though as I don’t plan to unveil them until race day. I am really excited though. I can tell you that!
In the meantime, I will be running like the wind (Bullseye!) and planning my victory meals with my partner in crime, Ginger. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend and I can’t wait! But first, I need to go out for a run. See ya!
Are you running during Princess weekend? How is your training coming along?
