Well what do you know, I am 34 weeks pregnant (as of tomorrow anyway) and I am still standing!
See, I had Oscar in the month of January…ie the middle of WINTER. And here in NC (as opposed to my home state of Florida) we actually have seasons. And they are wildly different from each other.
This is the forecast for this week. The first week of June. The week that comes before 6 more weeks of being immensely pregnant.
And it’s HOT.
At 34 weeks pregnant here is what I know. I eat either a slushie or a popsicle every single day. I try to get Oscar out for some splash time most days, but between the heat and the mosquitos, 30 minutes sucks the life out of me faster than you can say, pass me the Cutter.
I am most definitely and rapidly retaining every drop of water I drink, which is a lot because I am constantly thirsty. It’s a good thing I love drinking water. I am still going to the gym at least every other week. I didn’t go this week because we were insanely scheduled for some reason. NO worries though, I can just go stand outside and sweat the same amount of calories. the good news is I have only gained about half as much as I did with Oscar so I am still winning. Yay!
I took Oscar to my 34 week Doctor’s appointment and he was so excited to hear “baby bruther’s heartmeat” . I generally don’t like to bring him with me because he generally loses his mind when we go to doctors. But he did great this time and it was really fun to include him.
So far baby brother is still pretty high and enjoying the steely walls of my ribcage. GOODIE! He’s very active and measuring right on dates, though nary a visit goes by that I am not reminded of the 75% chance that he will be bigger than his brother at birth ( you mean the 11lb brother?) Yes I do.
VBAC is still a go as everyone continues to be healthy. Now we are just counting it down and Jerry is running around like Superman in fast forward to see how many projects he can complete before it all comes to a screeching, beautiful halt.
34 weeks isn’t so bad folks. It isn’t so bad.
