Yesterday ended up being a pretty good day after all. Work on Monday was such a nightmare that I think I was really dreading it yesterday. But after I made it through the morning and had a lovely lunch with Hilary, things were fine. I trained the new girl and she is really smart *a quality rarely found in my office, sadly*
Ginger came by after work for a few and she gave me the most beautiful necklace for my birthday!! Yes it has been that long! She is moving to Florida to work at Disney for the semester and I will definitely be visiting her. Can’t WAIT!
Last night, I continued reading The Life and Times of Grigorii Rasputin. Who knew a biography about a peasant from Siberia could be so interesting?? I remain fascinated.
I have reconsidered upon waking up this morning and am now 100% glad that I don’t have to go to school today. I hope everyone going back has a great start to the new semester!! But don’t you worry, you will see me at many a football game.
I have also started mentally preparing to buy a house (or townhouse) next year. I think it will be good to get my money into something a little more worthwhile than my landlord’s pocket. But a lot has to happen in order for this to work out…so we’ll see.
There is a man named Arthur Burt coming to my parent’s church in Wake Forest this Saturday at 7pm. He is from Wales and he is 93 years old. He has been a travelling preacher for 70 years. I have been to his meetings ever since I can remember. I can’t believe he is still alive, much less preaching and travelling (he was ancient when I was 7)…but I look forward to hearing him again. If anyone wants to go, you are more than welcome to come with.
I think that is about it for the updates.
Time for cereal.
