This time of year is the most exhilarating for me. I love the way summer merges into fall overnight. I always forget how great it feels to step outside into crisp cool weather. I feel like I am really thriving right now. Certainly, everything isn’t going right, but I have a stability in my life that I haven’t had in ….well I don’t know that I have ever had it. I am happy in my job, my relationships, my church, and my location. It’s amazing. SO I guess it makes me want to embrace more, enjoy more, and just live. Even going to the gym has a new spark to it. They open these big (garage) doors when the weather is nice and the air just breezes in. What a great feeling!!
Not to mention the fact that it’s election season. 🙂 I know I am a nerd, but I’ve spared you my political drivel for long enough. Actually, I don’t really have drivel at this point. I am just reminded that I have been and still am very interested in politics. I’ve been on something of a hiatus in the past months, listening to news here and there, reading A book or maybe 2. But this morning on the way to work, I was listening to NPR and was only then reminded that many primaries were yesterday. I suppose I had grown tired of the ever present war debate. Not that it isn’t an important issue, but there are so many other things we need to be thinking about. SO, I have decided to become more involved (or at least knowledgeable) about local politics. I think it will be a really good thing to at least know what is going on around here….especially with the Presidential campaigning right around the corner. I am looking forward to it!
