I am fortunate in that I have a caring and considerate husband. I mentioned previously that he sent me off for a day to myself a couple weeks ago and it was exactly what I needed! And it just so happened that he had Oscar duty again that same week when I was invited to the Raleigh Mom’s Night Out at Solas!
Molly Gold of Go Mom, Inc. along with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitor’s Bureau put on a fabulous event that aimed to pamper local moms. Boy did they get the job done! They offered massages, nail and hair treatments as well as eyebrow shaping as a gift to us courtesy of Primp Salon Bar. I got my eyebrows done and sipped on a few delicious non-alcoholic cocktails. Of course the non-pregnant mamas got the real deal, but I have to say, this pineapple/sprite concoction has become my latest obsession!
Heather, can I just have one lil sippy???
The evening was exactly what I needed too. While I didn’t win any of the fabulous prizes they gave out (um HELLO spa day at The Umstead!) I had a great time chatting with old friends and new.
Belly bump with Jessica!
Melissa checking out the awesome food! (Stuffed mushrooms for the win!)
Happy Mother’s day to the most recent Mama of two goes to the lovely Erin!
It’s funny because the actual day of Mother’s Day was pretty normal. Jerry played in the band and Oscar and I spent a lot of time at the house. However, I felt celebrated all week long and I still do! And you know what? I think that’s exactly as it should be. Thanks again to Molly and everyone who worked so hard to make us feel special. You achieved your goal and then some!
