Did you know that the correct use of this term is Daylight Saving Time and not Daylight SavingS Time? My husband will be sure to let you know if he catches you saying it the wrong way. And even though he now concedes that technically they could both be somewhat right, his way is definitely preferred. So I say it his way, when he is within earshot.
This is marriage right?
Other than that, our time change weekend went pretty well. Oscar managed to stay in bed until the “new 7am” both yesterday and today and even though he is fighting a cold, he has been a total trooper. It’s currently 8:15am and he just went down for a pitifully needed nap. Poor lil guy. He doesn’t get sick very often, thank God, but when he does he is so adorably sad. Hopefully it will pass soon.
Oh this weekend we had a great time getting all our boxes down from the attic and packing up some of the shelves in the kitchen. It occurred to me that I have a lot of storage in our current kitchen. I hope everything will fit in the new one! The main challenge will be non-perishables because like this kitchen, there is no pantry. I would rather not have to use the cupboard space if I can avoid it so I will need to get creative. The wall the refrigerator is on has some blank space so that might be my answer right there. Soon I will be able to start DOING and stop planning. Looking forward to that!
This was the state of my living room as of 8am this morning
If you have ever moved, you know how this last couple weeks can get. We’ve been in this house for 4 years and while I like to think we have done a pretty good job not getting overrun with STUFF, we still have a long way to go in getting what we do have all packed up and ready to go. Just 16 more days and we are outta here!
Which means there are only 17 days until Thanksgiving. 46 days until Christmas.
I’m going to stop now.
