Ok, so since I decided to stay in Raleigh only one week before I was supposed to move, my apt. was in serious disarray. SO, I thought it would be a good time for a facelift. Karen at work was selling her couch and I looked at it Friday and loved it. So then I thought, if I am getting a new couch I should paint my livingroom!! Oftentimes I get these ideas thinking it will be a piece of cake. In reality however, it usually turns into a headache. But…… It is BEAUTIFUL!!!
At first I only bought one gallon of paint thinking it would be enough, but quickly realized that I was mistaken. So, I used it all and went back to Home Depot this morning to get the rest. I finished painting and then got to work getting everything rearranged. I went to lunch with Joe and then we took his truck out to Garner to get the couch.
(sidenote….while driving in Garner we saw a man napping on a park bench. Nothing out of the ordinary there….except for the fact that he had removed his prosthetic leg and it was just standing there next to him….Joe circled around and made a second pass, just to be sure….ahh Garner)
After our little adventure, I realized that, a) Joe is an awesome friend and b) I am not a dude and carrying a couch up 2 small sets of stairs is much harder than it looks. I also moved my computer into the bedroom to make the livingroom look nicer. I must say, I am exhausted but so very happy with the end result!!
You now have my official permission to stop by whenever you want. 🙂
