I am on overdrive these days. We have a lot going on and it’s actually really great so I am not complaining. I am just full. And it’s starting to bloat.
Our closings for the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home are scheduled for the same day at the end of November so we have been trying to get everything lined up for that. The good news is, we made some serious headway on the appliances and have everything ordered except for the washer and dryer. Also, we went to the State Fair this weekend and got a really great deal on a new shed. All of these things will be delivered the day after we close if everything goes according to plan.
It’s all very exciting!
Meanwhile, we’ve been getting estimates on the new house and on our house for repairs that need to be made prior to closing. All of the typical home selling stuff. It has kept us busy, that’s for sure.
And somewhere in the middle of all our planning and arranging, Oscar decided to start sleeping in a big boy bed!
Yes. It’s true.
On Saturday at the Fair we were just casually talking about how Oscar hasn’t been sleeping that well lately (welcome to the club) and that maybe we should try moving him to a bigger bed.
We already had a toddler bed in storage so we pulled it out and set it up in his room. Immediately he loved it and was saying I bed! I bed! And the rest is history. It’s as if he has always slept there.
I suppose technically it’s the same mattress so it isn’t that different. Nonetheless, we were shocked that it all happened so quickly and with basically no strategy. So last night the crib came down for good and we have ourselves a big boy.
All this to say, that even though we are focused on the house stuff, life goes on. We are still growing and learning.
We’re happy, we’re excited and yes, we are full.
