Yesterday didn’t turn out quite as expected, but it wasn’t all bad either. Jerry ended up working all day and is currently at work. This was about 3 times as many hours than we were expecting but we are rolling with it. What it did was free me up to catch some of the Type-A-Mom Conference sessions on MomTV. I had really wanted to go to this weekend’s conference, but I found out too late to make it happen. Plus with Jerry’s work schedule it really wasn’t feasible. SO, I was really excited to see that some of it was being broadcast thanks to Danielle at Extraordinary Mommy. I also got caught up on the whole weekend reading posts at Cutest Kid Ever.
I realized that I have been really slack in the networking department and I am trying to pick up the pace. I love blogging and it really is a part of who I am. Why wouldn’t I want to connect with hundreds of other women just like me? It’s daunting and exhilarating to think about the fact that these words are indeed on the WORLD wide web. But they are and it’s so much fun. I’m just really thankful that I stumbled on so many great resources!
And speaking of inspiration, I’ve been thinking alot about my book and how the best way to be a good writer is to read a lot (source wasn’t me but I can’t remember who said it). So, I went to the library today and grabbed a few biographies. Currently reading one about Mother Teresa’s faith struggle. It’s short but already so powerful! It’s called I Loved Jesus In the Night.
So, I am feeling really encouraged about the direction I am going with my writing. It feels really great to have any direction honestly! I am SO thankful for that. Who knows where the next page will lead?
