One thing Jerry and I have been planning for quite some time now is to paint our brick house white. We like brick houses, but ours was built in the 60s with a very flat and dingy type of brick that really didn’t do much for the house. Also, the front of the house is shaded much of the time and I just felt like it was very dark. Add to that the fact that someone had the bright idea to paint the shutters and trim the exact same color as the brick and you have one brown house! Here it is one last time for posterity.
The past couple years have been spent working on the inside of the house and the back yard and this year is FINALLY project front yard! We will be working on the landscaping in the coming weeks, but we didn’t want to ruin it with paint so we did the house first. We went with white (or I should say “song porcelain” and used black for the trim. It’s not 100% done yet as we are going to paint the porch and steps gray. BUT you get the idea! I LOVE it!!!! I can’t wait to see it completely finished with new plants and all. It’s like a totally different place! So bright and cheery 🙂 Here are a few “after” shots. Yay!
