Ok carpool parents, this one is for you. Do your kids immediately ask for food after school? Mine do so I come prepared with snacks in the car line. I’m excited to share about the Jack Links Cold Crafted snacks!

They are super convenient and packed with protein, which at the end of the day helps to fill those bottomless kid stomachs.

I’m not sure if you know this, but 8 and 10-year-olds eat a lot. And I mean a LOT. It seems like I spend at least 50% of my day preparing food or telling them no, you can’t have another snack.

Whoever invented the term “hollow leg” in reference to eating was spot on. I think my boys each have two.

I’m trying to add more protein to our after school snack routine so the kids aren’t just munching away on empty carbs that leave them hungry. I love that beef sticks seem to be a hit with all of us!

Jack Link’s Cold Crafted Refrigerated Smoked Beef Sticks & Cheese

My kids don’t eat a lot of lunch meat but what they do love is pepperoni and meat sticks.

I’m a big fan of the fact that Jack Link’s Cold Crafted Refrigerated Smoked Beef Sticks & Cheese are made with 100% beef and there is a yummy cheddar or pepper jack cheese stick right in the package!

You may be used to seeing meat sticks near beef jerky and other room temperature snacks, but you won’t find these on that shelf.

Keep walking to the refrigerated section where they will be waiting for you.

I found our yummy snacks in the refrigerator section at Walmart near the cheese products. I’m not sure how your store is set up, but in ours, the lunch meat and cheeses aren’t next to each other.

If that is the case for you, be sure to check both to be sure you don’t miss out.

Jack Link’s Cold Crafted Refrigerated Smoked Beef Sticks & Cheese are individually packaged, which makes them perfect for snacks on the go or throwing in a lunch box.

I grabbed a bunch and put them our deli meat drawer so the kids can reach them whenever it’s time for yet another snack.

I am all about easy and if I’m honest, these aren’t just for the boys. I love them too! Especially on days when I’m following a Faster Way to Fat Loss low carb day and need to up my protein. Jack Links in Fridge

Grab and Go After School Snacks

I made a promise to my boys when I wrote this letter that I would always have a snack in the car with me at pickup. For the most part, I’ve done a good job of keeping my word and it’s fun to surprise them with the snack of the day.

This is also when I like to introduce new things because they are usually so hungry after school that they will at least try most things. Jack Links at Carpool

I know I won’t be making food choices for my sons forever.

But for now, I’m happy to do what I can to introduce new ideas and after school snacks that will give them more bang for their buck when it comes to getting the nutrients they need.

Jack Links has tons of products from cold to shelf stable, so be sure to check out their website before you hit up your local Walmart!
