Kitchen Reveal!

OK so I am jumping the gun a teeeensy bit here because the WHOLE kitchen isn’t quite finished yet. BUT we did the whole dining room side and I LOVE it. I can wait no longer! You might remember the unfortunate GOLD pain (HA! that should have read “gold paint”, but I think that typo was more accurate) we have been living with in our kitchen/dining room for the past 3 years. I don’t know how we ever made it that long. Here is a refresher:

And now here is the new look! I mean seriously, I don’t even have words. This paint looks SO good that it makes the old paint look worse. As if it wasn’t already bad enough. Come on spring! Doesn’t it just make you want to go work in a garden or something? The color is Valspar’s Dancing Mist. Yay!

That's my kind of pain color! We both ditched the gold for the soft blue. Love it. Good job 🙂

Oh, I LOVE it. It looks so fantastic! I just love how it sets the red off rather than competes with it the way the gold tried to.

Brilliant!

every room in our house was a gold (actually just looked like a really dirty yellow) color when we bought it. i still catch glimpses of it now and then in rooms where we haven't yet replaced the crown moulding. your blue looks awesome and, of course, i love it with the red!

I know this is weird but it looks like the smell of fresh laundry.

Oh, I love the red…and the patter on the curtains rocks.

I was just looking at these pictures again and I thought, "ooh, a slate floor where the slate is black or gray with some brown and red veining (to go with the cabinets and the accent color) would be the bomb!" if you are in the market for that you should check into the tile shop way up on glenwood. we've gotten some pretty good deals there. you can usually cut a deal with them, "what's your best price on that?" we always ask there. 😉

I LOVE your new kitchen color! Wow, what a difference a can of paint can make, uh? But you had "good bones" to start with…haha..that's what my Grandmother would say! Which meant the stuff you had already was pretty good to start with. 😉
I love those curtains and the retro table too! Great Job!
