Confession: I love Legos.
Growing up as the youngest of 3 girls, you would think I would be sneaking into my sister’s makeup bags and trying on their clothes. Ok so maybe I did that. But what I always wanted for every holiday (in which gifts were involved) was an array of Legos. It got to the point where I was not allowed to shake my presents under the tree because let’s face it, Legos have an unmistakable rattle.
I dream of the day that I can sit down with Oscar and work on Lego kits to build who knows what over and over again. I was into the Pirates and Soldiers, my nephews love Harry Potter. What will it be for Oscar’s generation? I can’t wait to find out.
So if your kids are into Legos, you might want to check out Lego KidsFest going on THIS weekend at the Raleigh Convention Center! It’s a totally interactive experience with Construction Zones for kids of all ages! They will also have group builds and games, large and mini-scale Lego models and mystery murals! (What’s a mystery mural? I don’t know but I will after Friday!)
If you are interested in attending Legofest, you can purchase tickets here. Kids 2 and under are free. You’ll have to pick a session at that point and then you will be good to go! My family will be there on Friday!
