Welcome back to Who Gets your Vote? !! Each Tuesday I will be highlighting at least one reader opinion about the upcoming election. On election day, I will answer these very same questions myself! I am so looking forward to the next few weeks and I hope you are too! The point of this series is to get real people to answer real questions about this election. We aren’t all the same and we don’t vote the same. I happen to think that is ok and welcome opinions that are different than my own. I’d love to see some healthy discussion in the comments as the weeks pass!
Would you like to participate? Just email me (andrea at lilkidthings dot com) with the subject line VOTE and include your answers to the below questions.
This week’s interview is from Les of Elisha Vision. To be honest, that is a bit formal since (drumroll please) he is my dad! We’ve spent many many late nights discussing politics and this year is no different! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
Comments welcome! As always, feel free to comment. But remember to be respectful. I know politics can get people excited, but hateful comments WILL be deleted.
Do you affiliate yourself with a party? Which one? Republican
Do you know who you will vote for in the Presidential Election yet?/Who? Mitt Romney
Why did you choose this person / or why are you still undecided?
1. Romney has the proven record to turn financial struggles around with the Olympics, the state of Massachusetts, and his extraordinary successes at Bain Capital with Staples, Sports Authority growing hundreds of thousands of jobs.
2. Romney is pro-life and therefore pro-woman. 25 million baby girls have been aborted since 1973. They lost a lifetime of choices because their mothers made one single choice.
3. Romney is pro-marriage in the Biblical and traditional since, which is the documented foundation of a healthy family and environment for raising stable well-adjusted children.
4. Romney is pro-Israel and particularly noted for stating (the obvious) that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. Yet, this is not the position of the incumbent who states that it remains to be decided in “final status talks”.
Are you a parent? Yes.
Why do you think your candidate is the best choice for parents? If undecided – what issues are you concerned about as a parent? #s 2 and 3 above.
Do you feel like your candidate is misunderstood? Why? Yes. Negative ads and biased media.
Thank you for sharing your honest opinions!
Below are a list of websites to check out while trying to decide on the best candidate for you. Stay tuned for another interview next Tuesday and thanks for reading! And don’t forget to check out all the past voter interviews!
