Tonight I am thankful for many things.
I don’t even know where to begin.
I don’t know how to say thank you to the people who mean so much to us and who have helped us get to where we are. But know that in my heart and on my sleeve, I am thankful.
Today we have a new home. But it seems so small compared to what we really have. We have a family. We have a community. We have faith in an incredibly generous God who never ceases to amaze us with His grace and blessing. We have each other. We have you.
Today we bought a house.
We had plans to get right to work and hit the ground running. We dropped Oscar off with my parents and loaded the car up with cleaning supplies. But instead of going straight to the new house after the closing, we had to wait for some paperwork to clear. So we came back to our current home. And we rested.
And it was good.
We had dinner with my family and didn’t even make it to the new house until after dark.
It’s even better than I remembered.
Tomorrow, we will rest some more. We will reflect on what an amazing life we have been given and we will pray about ways we can bless others in return.
It’s a great place to be.
