I feel like I am living my life in a perpetual state of disarray. One room gets organized and the rest of the house goes to shambles. I finally get one thing settled and then I start all over again. It’s the same way with my online files. I want to get organized but the process just seems so endless. We have a few spreadsheets here and there, but now that the boys are getting older and we have started Oscar in preschool, this issue is not going to get any better on its own.
AboutOne Online Organizer is live and ready to use!
I just started putting all of our information into the new version of the AboutOne online organizer and I have to say, I am really impressed! The interface is really easy to use and with their “bank level security”, I feel comfortable having all of my information in one place.
But what really makes AboutOne exciting is the fact that it acts like a social site. I can use it for anything and everything from addresses to birthdays, to financial information and photos or artwork I have scanned. AboutOne formats my information into a beautifully formatted timeline that I can share with my family.
Designed for busy people looking for a simple way to organize family life, AboutOne automatically formats these streams of information, when and how they are needed, including health histories for doctor visits, babysitter/caregiver instructions, home inventories for insurance claims, education summaries for college applications, plus on- and offline access to emergency information and contacts.
What if I don’t want to live my life in “the cloud”?
I had to think long and hard about this question. “The Cloud” I am referring to of course, is internet storage, which has become increasingly more popular in recent years. I have no problem having my social profiles online and of course as a blogger, much of my personal information is already out there. But I have to admit that even with all that, the idea of my files all being online makes me a little bit nervous.
However, after reading about their extensive security measures, I feel comfortable using AboutOne. And the control is still up to me. I don’t HAVE to put anything I deem too personal out there for AboutOne to be a great tool. It truly is what you want it to be.
Good news! There is a free version! Right now, you can sign up for the Essentials which includes 1 GB storage, Life Stream View, Contacts & Emergency Management, Sharables, Mobile Companion Apps, and Suze Orman Identity Protection. Soon, you will have the option of upgrading to Premium ($5/month) or Premium Plus ($10/month) versions with up to 60GB storage!
Overall, I am really excited about this new tool. We live in the digital age and it’s time to get with the program. I am thankful that there is a secure service like AboutOne that I can get excited about because, while being organized is nice, getting there is the hard part.
