I can’t let Father’s day slip away completely without honoring Oscar’s awesome Dada, Jerry. Sunday was his day and he got to do whatever he wanted and pick all the meals. We ate WELL on Sunday! Our morning started with an Egg McBaby as he calls it, which is bacon, egg and cheese on an English Muffin. mmmm….
Lunch was Sushi from Whole foods and Dinner was a favorite recipe of Chicken and beans and rice, with Peppers and Avocados. He went shopping at the guitar and hardware stores, and worked on his Sourdough starter (which he will blog about soon). It was his day, and he deserved it!
As the evening came to a close, I was abnormally tired. I realized that even when I don’t notice, Jerry really does a lot around here. He just silently gets things done. No demands for affirmation or applause. He just takes care of us. That’s what he does. Oscar loves getting tickled and chased by his Dada. He waits for him at the end of each day and shows off all that he has learned. Jerry delights in his son and I am so thankful that he is such an amazing father to Oscar and a wonderful Husband to me!
