These acorn cookies are crunchy, sweet, and so good you'll want to eat them as fast as you make them! They are the perfect interactive fall snack for kids.
Nutter Butter Bitesthese are essentially mini Nutter Butter cookies
Hershey Kisses
Semisweet Chocolate chips
Peanut Butter
Instructions
Start by separating the mini cookies with a little twist. Lay the cookie pieces on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Then, unwrap your chocolate Hershey's kisses and add them to a small bowl.
Spread a small amount of peanut butter on the inside of a cookie. Gently press the cookie onto the flat side of each kiss. Repeat.
Add a scoop of peanut butter to a plastic bag or piping bag and cut a small hole in one corner.
Squeeze a dot of peanut butter onto the top of the cookie and attach one of the chocolate chips by gently pressing it onto the cookie.
Repeat until you have created the desired amount of acorn cookies.
Notes
Optional variations include swapping peanut butter for chocolate frosting. Mini Nilla Wafers or Golden Oreos would make a good substitute for the Nutter Butters. And if you want a different look, try a butterscotch chip or peanut butter chips on top for the stem of the acorn. Enjoy!
