I am SO glad it’s Friday! Even though it’s raining like crazy, it just feels great. I am really looking forward to the weekend. Tonight we are going to the Music Leader’s house for a band party, tomorrow night I am having Mexican with some girlies for Jane’s bday and Sunday, Jerry and I are playing all 4 services….whew! It will be busy, but fun-filled, I assure you!
This week has been awesome. We’ve made dinner almost every night this week…so yummy! Last night we made chicken and pasta with sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce! I added some extra sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil for a lil kick! We also made a tomato basil salad with balsamic vinaigrette and shredded cheese!! AND I halved one tomato and baked it with more cheese to melt on top. SO good!!! I love cooking!!
The whole veggie thing is working out wonderfully. I haven’t had much of a problem eating 9 servings a day, and what is happening is that I fill up on that most days, so when I do have pasta and sauce and cheese and all that, it doesn’t hurt me! And I feel SO much better. I have been taking a multivitamin faithfully and I think my body just really appreciates it. It’s nice. The one thing I have kinda slacked off with is the water. Some days I drink 3 days worth, and others I hardly have a drop! Time to regulate that.
The new job is going really well! I love it. The people are really nice, my cube is by the window and I am learning alot! It’s exciting to be doing something that I can really get into. They’ve already scheduled me to be at a couple health fairs and events to answer questions and do giveaways. I am really looking forward to that.
My big project for the weekend is making the kitchen curtains. I looked and looked for some to buy and couldn’t find anything I liked. Besides the fact that curtains are so expensive anyway, I just couldn’t justify settling for something that was $20+ per panel. SO, I spent $4 on fabric that I really like, $10/ea on the curtain rods and I am going to make them! I also got enough to add some detail to a couple shelves next to the fridge to draw the colors into that side of the room (my windows are all on one side). I’ll take pics as soon as they are done! yay!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🙂
