If you're a Nutella fan, you'll love this golden brown puff pastry dessert topped with bananas, fresh strawberries, creamy Nutella, and powdered sugar.
Thaw your puff pastry sheet and leave it out at room temperature for 40 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
Roll the puff pastry sheet to desired shape and flatten it out to about 11x11.
Slice pastry into 6 equal pieces. Then, use the tip of a sharp knife or pizza cutter to trace a border ½ inch from the edge of the puff pastry sheet. Make sure not to cut all the way through.
Transfer the pastry sheets to the sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
In a small bowl, mash the banana and mix in the vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine the Nutella and coconut oil.
When the puff pastry is done baking, cool for 10 minutes. Push the middle down softly to create space for the filling.
Add the mashed banana into the center of each pastry and then top with Nutella.
Top with fresh strawberry slices and sprinkle on the powdered sugar.
Notes
NOTES: The coconut oil helped to soften the Nutella but you can omit it or swap with another oil. Use Truvia confectioners sugar which is zero calories or you can use regular powdered sugar.
