These single serve 7-layer dip cups are perfect to snack on with tortilla chips while you watch your team on game day. Make them ahead and refrigerate to bring to a party or share with family.
I love individual appetizers because double-dipping is totally allowed! Not to mention, less messy and perfectly portioned.
Taco Dip Cups Ingredients
With minimal prep, these cups can be made in just 15 minutes. Use 9-ounce cups like these, or smaller if you want to make more with smaller serving sizes.
Check out the recipe card below for a detailed ingredient list and instructions.
How to Make 7 Layer Dip Cups
Set out your ingredients and cups. You will also need a mixing bowl and a spoon.

Single Serve 7 Layer Dip Cups
Equipment
- 6 9oz clear plastic cups
Ingredients
- 16 oz refried beans, 1 can
- 1 oz mild taco seasoning, 1 packet
- 1 cup guacamole, store bought or your favorite recipe
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- ⅓ cup green onions, sliced
- ⅓ cup sliced olives
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, add the contents from the can of refried beans and the taco seasoning. Mix well to combine.
- Start by pressing a firm layer of refried beans in the bottom of each cup.
- Next, add a layer of guacamole, followed by a layer of sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions and sliced black olives
- Garnish with a tortilla chip if desired, and serve!
Notes
- Keep dips stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Increase or decrease the amount of each layer depending on your preferences.
- The taco seasoning may be added to the sour cream; however, it will change the color and no longer be bright white.
- This recipe makes six full servings. You can use a little less of each ingredient and yield 8 cups that aren’t as full or smaller cups if you want to stretch this recipe further.
- These can be prepared a day in advance. The guacamole should not turn brown as long as it’s pressed between the layers and there’s no air getting to it.
- If making in advance, skip the tortilla chip garnish and add it before serving.
