Each episode in the series focuses a different young hero and how they took an idea and turned it into something truly special.

About Marvel’s Hero Project

The series, produced by Marvel New Media in partnership with MaggieVision Productions, reveals the remarkable, positive change several young heroes are making in their own communities. These young heroes have dedicated their lives to selfless acts of bravery and kindness, and now, Marvel celebrates them as the true Super Heroes they are.

I’m not going to lie, the fact that I have a slightly personal connection to the folks in the first episode is not lost on me. I was so happy to see Jordan honored in this way and definitely shed a few tears.

Through our connection on the Disney Parks Moms Panel and the blogging community over the years, I’ve had the joy of getting to know Jordan’s mom. I’m so proud to call Jen Reeves a friend.

Jen, whose daughter Jordan is featured in episode one for her dedication to inspiring kids who are born with differences, has a truly infectious smile and the fact that her family is just as amazing doesn’t surprise me one bit.

I’ve been following Jordan’s amazing journey for years from Project Unicorn to her non-profict organization, Born Just Right and the book that was released earlier this year.

This family is as real as it gets, and they are portrayed beautifully in this reality documentary.

This is a great show for upper-elementary and middle-grade kids. The show centers on a different child in each episode.

Marvel not only brings awareness to ways we can all help those around us, but they also remind us that all it takes is an idea to get the ball rolling.

And of course, you can’t forget about that special Marvel touch that really honors the kids. It completely blew me away.
