Sip it while entertaining, or just because you want to feel fancy on a Tuesday.

Two glasses of a pink cocktail garnished with blackberries, lime wedges, and rosemary sprigs. A bottle is blurred in the background, and scattered blackberries and lime are on the surface.

While I love a classic gin and tonic, adding fresh fruits is a great way to try something a little different.

Making a good cocktail doesn’t have to be complicated. For more ideas, try our peach bellini or spicy margarita!

Why I Love This Recipe

  • It’s a simple twist on a classic G&T.
  • Easy to make, but looks beautiful.
  • Easy to customize with your favorite gin, flavored tonics, or other fruits.
  • Great for batching if you’re serving a crowd.

Ingredients Needed

Here is a preview of what you need for this drink. The recipe card contains the ingredients and detailed instructions.

Grab your favorite gin and a nice tonic (like Fevertree or Fentimans) to make this easy recipe. Add blackberries and lime, and you’re off!

Hendrick's Gin bottle with two Fentimans tonic water bottles, blackberries, a lime wedge, rosemary sprigs, and ice on a wooden board.

How to Make It

Make one for yourself and a friend in just five minutes. It’s that easy!

Two clear glasses each contain two blackberries. A blurred background shows slices of lime, a bottle, and rosemary.

Step 1: Wash blackberries and add two to each glass.

Two empty glasses with muddled berries inside, next to a wooden muddler. A bottle and lime wedges are in the background.

Step 2: Gently mash the berries using a muddler or wooden spoon.

A hand pours liquid from a metal jigger into a glass filled with ice cubes and a red liquid. Lime wedges and bottles are in the blurred background.

Step 3: Fill glasses with ice and add gin.

Two glasses of iced berry cocktails with a mixing stick, surrounded by lime wedges and ingredients, in a kitchen setting.

Step 4: Top with tonic and gently stir. Add garnish if desired and serve!

Recipe Variations

  • Add a slice of jalapeño if you want a little heat.
  • Swap gin for a botanical non-alcoholic spirit or use extra blackberries and tonic.
  • Get “the good ice” (nugget ice) at a local drive-thru like Sonic or Zaxby’s. They will sell it by the bag!
