Ingredients Needed

Here’s what you need:

  • Golden Oreo cookies – crushed cookies are the base of our cookie balls. I prefer cookies to a cake mix since you don’t need to heat treat them first.
  • Freeze dried strawberries – Added strawberry flavor and color without making the cookie balls soggy.
  • Cream cheese – Softened cream cheese is used to bind the dry ingredients together with a creamy, slightly tangy kick.
  • Pink candy melts – Used to dip the cookie balls and can also be used as a drizzle on top.
  • Ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers – Used as an alternate color for dipping and drizzling if desired.

This is an easy no bake recipe but you will need to set aside about an hour or so for chilling and prep time.

Get started with two baking sheets line with parchment paper. Set aside for later.

Crush the Golden Oreo cookies until you have fine crumbs with a food processor. Set aside ½ cup of the crumbs for later to use as a topping.

Then, take a large mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for about 30 minutes to firm up the batter a bit, which will make it easier to roll into balls.

Once chilled, use a 1 ½ tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the batter into even sizes and roll them into balls with your hands.

Place each ball onto the lined baking sheet and chill again in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.

Using a double boiler or microwave, heat the melting wafers over low heat, stirring often, until fully melted.

Place a cookie ball onto a fork and dip it into the melted candy. Tap the fork against the edge to remove the excess coating.
