Halloween Spider Donuts

Halloween spider donuts are such a cute and fun little treat idea. Using packaged mini donuts, pretzels, chocolate and candy eyes, you can have a spooky snack in minutes.

Make these with the kids or sneak them into a lunchbox for a Halloween surprise!

Spider Donut Ingredients

All you need are four ingredients to make these festive little creepy crawlers.

Fun, cute and easy to make are the perfect ingredients for holiday snacks if you ask me. And these little guys check all the boxes.

Here’s what to buy:

  • Chocolate Mini Donuts
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Pretzel twists
  • Candy eyes

How to Make Spider Donuts

Remove the mini donuts from the package and carefully break the pretzels.

You’ll need about 8 pretzel pieces for each spider donut you plan to make. Be sure you break the pretzels so the curve is showing.

Then, attach four legs on each side of each donut.

To attach the candy eyes, take the chocolate chips and add them to a microwave safe bowl. Heat for about 30 seconds at a time until melted.

Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag and cut the tip off the bag.

Finally, pipe two dots of melted chocolate on the top of a donut. Then, press two candy eyes into the melted chocolate and allow the melted chocolate to harden before serving.

Ingredients 

  • 8 Chocolate Mini Donuts
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate Chips
  • 24 Pretzel twists, approximately
  • 16 Candy eyes
