Why I Love this Recipe

Chocolate pretzels are fantastic because they are easy to make and have that perfect blend of sweet and salty flavor.

Make it a party with fall gnome candies or Halloween Rice Krispie treats.

How to Make Dipped Pretzel Sandwiches

This snack is quick and easy to make. Depending on the quantity you want to make, it can be done in as little as 15 minutes.

In addition to the ingredients, you’ll need a microwave-safe bowl, a parchment-paper-lined cookie sheet, and a fork.

A four-step process showing pink candy melts being melted in a bowl, stirred, then used to dip pretzels, which are placed on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 1: Add red candy melts to a microwave-safe bowl and melt according to the package directions. I usually heat for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between each session.

Step 2: If the chocolate is too thick, add a little coconut oil or Crisco to help with the melting process. Stir until smooth.

Step 3: Dip each pretzel into the red melted chocolate, gently tapping the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

Step 4: Place the pretzels on the cookie sheet, adding an M&M candy to the top of each one as you go so they stick to the chocolate before it sets.

Once each pretzel has been dipped, place them back into the refrigerator for an hour to harden.

Storage Tips

Any uneaten and cooled pretzels should be stored in an airtight container or a resealable plastic bag.

You can store dipped pretzels on the counter at room temperature and enjoy them for 3-5 days. They make a great teacher gift or fun fall treat!
