Make a batch for a class party, holiday celebration or a surprise for an unexpected snow day.

They will make a fun treat all winter long and look great on a party table with other favorites like our gnome cookie cups, Christmas tree brownie bites, or Nutter Butter Reindeer.

Ingredients Needed

No bake snowman oreos are a fun and simple activity with a delicious reward! I will share the candies used below, but feel free to swap out anything you need to.

Here’s what you need to buy:

If you can find them, Wilton has a cute little set of snowman sprinkles that would work perfectly. Or you could use black and orange icing to create the eyes, mouth, and nose.

How to Make Them

Now that you have your ingredients, I find it helpful to separate everything into bowls. This is especially fun for kids because they can see everything they have to work with.

Prepare two baking sheets by adding a layer of parchment paper to each and set aside.

Using a double boiler, melt the white melting wafers on low heat until smooth. The Ghirardelli wafers really melt well so if you can find them, I do think they will be better than other white chocolates.

NOTE: The double boiler method is simply two stacked saucepans. The one directly on the heat will have water in it and the one on top will have the chocolate. This gently melts the chocolate so it doesn’t seize.

You can also microwave in 20 second increments stirring in between each until melted or if you enjoy dipping things often, try a chocolate melting pot.

Take one Oreo and fully submerge it into the melted wafers and make sure it is evenly coated.

Then, lift it out with a fork and lightly tap it on the edge of the pot a few times to remove the excess chocolate.

Place the cookie on the lined baking sheet and repeat with a couple more Oreos. You’ll want to work in batches so you can place the sprinkles before the chocolate hardens completely.

I recommend dipping 2-3 cookies, then add the sprinkles and repeat.

Or if you want to skip the dipping process altogether, try using white chocolate covered Oreos and add the sprinkles with a dab of melted chocolate.

To decorate the snowmen faces, add two sugar pearls for the eyes and an orange tic tac in the center for the nose.

Give each snowman a smile by placing 4-5 sugar pearls under the tic tac.

Then, to create the earmuffs, take a 2-inch piece of sour punch straw and add it to the top of the cookie for the strap. You may need to hold it in place for 10 seconds so the melts can firm up a bit.

Then attach one M&M on each side of the strap for the ears.

gently add candies to make faces

Repeat the steps with the rest of the cookies and transfer the baking sheets into the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until fully set.

If you have additional sprinkles, make some extra chocolate dipped Oreos and add the colorful sprinkles on top.

Place in the fridge until set and ready to serve.
