How to Make Creamy Cucumber Salad

I love that this salad is loaded with fresh ingredients. Topped with a rich and tangy sauce, it really checks all the boxes for me.

To start, wash and slice the cucumbers, red onion, and dill.

In a large bowl, toss the dressing with the chopped vegetables until well coated.

Place salad in the refrigerator and let chill for at least one hour before serving. This will give all the flavors a chance to settle into each other. It will be worth the wait!

Creamy Cucumber Salad Recipe

This creamy cucumber salad combines thinly sliced cucumbers and onion with a homemade sauce using sour cream, mayo, vinegar, sugar, fresh dill, and seasonings.

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients 

  • 2 english cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Wash cucumbers and onion, and thinly slice. Chop dill into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, dill, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder and salt and pepper.
  • Add the cucumbers and onions and toss gently to combine.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving, and enjoy!
