My quick and delicious strawberry cream cheese recipe is delightful and not too sweet. It can be used as a dip, filling or spread and it’s perfect for your brunch table.

I’m a huge fan of strawberries in just about every way from strawberry jello cake to strawberry sauce and everything in between.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip with Spinach Chips

They are the perfect fruit to cook with whether you are looking for healthy recipes, brunch recipes or strawberry desserts.

By combining fresh strawberries with cream cheese and a few simple ingredients, you can skip the store bought flavored cream cheese from now on.

This recipe is easy, kid-friendly and incredibly versatile. Let’s make it!

Strawberry Cream Cheese Ingredients

Fresh strawberry cream cheese made at home is so much better than what you can find at the grocery store.

Plus, if you are watching your sugar intake, you can easily swap the sugar out in favor of your favorite sweetener.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Ingredients

You will need:

  • Plain cream cheese
  • Fresh strawberries are best but you can thaw and use frozen strawberries as well
  • Pure vanilla extract
  • Lemon juice
  • Confectioner’s sugar (or a 1:1 swap out like Splenda)

I used a food processor to make my cream cheese mixture, but you could use a spoon or even a hand mixer if you want to.

A food processor will create a finer texture, which I prefer when using it as a dip. It’s really a matter of personal preference, so feel free to use what you have.

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Cream Cheese

For this easy recipe, we’ll start by letting the cream cheese come to room temperature. This will likely take about one hour.

Wash and slice your strawberries.

Then using a food processor or a fork and a medium size mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with the lemon, vanilla, and sugar until the strawberry mixture reaches your desired consistency.

A thinner cream cheese works well as a dip. A thicker version is great for spreads and fillings.

I just threw it all together for a dip and it was so good!

Transfer to a serving dish or airtight container for storing. This spread will last about 5 days in the refrigerator.

Ways to Eat Strawberry Cream Cheese

I love easy recipes and the fresh berries give this cream cheese such an amazing strawberry flavor, you will want to put it on everything!

As a dip, place a bowl of strawberry cream cheese dip on a plate and surround it with yummy graham crackers, apple slices or pretzels.

It’s the perfect addition to a Mother’s Day brunch, bridal shower, or when you need a sweet dip to balance out traditionally savory appetizers .

Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip in a Bowl

For a lower carb treat and one of my favorite ways to use it, use your favorite sweetener and then using low-carb spinach tortillas, make your own chips in the oven!

It’s super easy to do and gives a delicious crunch that compliments the dip. I’ll add my process below for that too.

Strawberry Cream Cheese Dip on Chip

If you don’t want to dip, you can use strawberry cream cheese spread instead of butter on homemade bagels , french toast, pancakes or even as a layer on breakfast pizza.

Or, use it as a filling inside crescent rolls, make danishes with puff pastry or add powdered sugar and whipped cream to create a strawberry cream cheese frosting.

Quick Spinach Chips – Bonus Recipe

As promised, here’s the quick way I made some low-carb chips to dip in my strawberry cream cheese. It’s the perfect way to get both sweet and savory with a crunch.

Take your low-carb spinach tortillas (I used Mission Carb Balance) and either cut them into triangles or use a cookie cutter.

Spinach Tortillas

I used a Christmas light cookie cutter and it created this cute little flower when all was said and done.

When your tortillas are cut, spray them with non-stick cooking spray and bake on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Flip them over about half way through.

Let cool and enjoy right away.

If your strawberry mixture is thin, add it a little at a time to your cream cheese until you reach the desired consistency. A thinner cream cheese works well as a dip. A thicker version is great for spreads and fillings.
