Wondering what you can do with lots of fresh strawberries? Or maybe you froze some and now you want to bake. This strawberry bread recipe is super easy to make and it’s delicious!
If you want to make strawberry bread from scratch, this vintage recipe from my family favorites cookbook is all you need.
Well, and the strawberries of course!
We love quick breads in our house and it’s fun to use different fruits and even veggies to change it up.
Tips for Baking Strawberry Quick Bread
I have made this quick strawberry bread a few times and the trick is making sure the strawberries don’t get too juicy.
This is why I prefer baking with fresh strawberries, though you could certainly use frozen fruit too! I would just watch the liquid.
You’ll want to chop the fruit into bite-size pieces but be sure not to crush them too much.
It also helps to shake the fresh fruit with a little bit of flour before adding them to the batter.
Once your batter is mixed up, it’s time to bake in your favorite loaf pan!
TIP: Remember to adjust the oven temperature down by about 25 degrees if using a glass pan. This will allow more even cooking without over-baking the top and sides.
