Air-Fryer Hot BBQ Wings

Air fryer hot BBQ wings are super easy to make and have a tangy and spicy flavor your wing lovers will ask for again and again.

Enjoy these with ranch dressing and some cold veggies or french fries and make it a meal.

I love making chicken in the instant pot and the air fryer takes it to the next level. These wings go well with these yummy potatoes too.

Ingredients

You just need a few ingredients to make these super flavorful wings.

  • 12 Chicken Wings
  • 1/4 Cup Butter melted
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 Cup Buffalo Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce

Once you have these items in hand, it’s time to fire up the air fryer!

Instructions

First, pre-heat your air fryer to 390°F.

Take the chicken wings out of the refrigerator and let them reach room temperature and pat dry with a paper towel.

Coat wings with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Place on air frying rack and air fry for 20 minutes.

In a small mixing bowl, combine bbq sauce and hot sauce.

Remove wings from air fryer and coat with the hot bbq sauce you created.

TIP: Wings are cooked when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F

Place back in air fryer for 5-10 minutes or until wings are crispy

Once the wings have reached your desired crispness, you can eat them right away.

What to Serve with Hot BBQ Wings

Serve these wings as an appetizer or pair with one or more sides to make it a meal. Here are a few ideas.

Variations

If you want to try some different seasonings on your wings, how about one of these?

  • Lemon Pepper – season with lemon juice, salt, pepper and a little bit of oil.
  • Honey Garlic – Coat with a mixture of honey, minced garlic and soy sauce.
  • Thai sauce – Use a pre-made or homemade Thai sauce instead of hot sauce.
