Today’s recipe is one of my very favorites. Buffalo Brussel sprouts are spicy and delicious and easy to roast in the oven or air fryer.

Sprinkled with dry ranch seasoning and roasted before being drenched with hot buffalo wing sauce and served with ranch dressing for dipping, this may become your new favorite way to eat your greens.

Pretty much the only way my kids will eat vegetables is when I roast them. This is great news for me because roasted veggies are my favorite too!

Roasted Brussels sprouts are good with a variety of seasonings and my new favorite is buffalo ranch style!

Ingredients for Buffalo Ranch Brussel Sprouts

This easy recipe is full of flavor while being super easy to make. Here’s what you need to buy next time you are at the grocery store.

Buffalo Ranch Brussel Sprouts Ingredients in packaging
  • 1 lb brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp dry Ranch seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Variations and Substitutions

I love buffalo hot sauce so this is an easy win for me. That said, there are so many ways to enjoy roasted Brussels sprouts. Season them with a little garlic powder, salt and pepper tossed with some olive oil for a classic flavor. Sprinkle on some parmesan cheese for a little kick.

Some people love to add bacon and maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce or experiment with different oils. Avocado oil would be another tasty option for this great side dish.

You can even make this same recipe but swap out the Brussels sprouts for another veggie to make buffalo cauliflower or broccoli! Another favorite veggie of mine is roasted butternut squash. It’s so good!

How to make Buffalo Brussel Sprouts in the Oven

I like to roast a lot of veggies at once so I prefer using my largest baking sheet in the oven. That said, you can certainly prepare these in an air fryer if you don’t need to make as many. I’ll include those instructions below.

To get started, preheat oven to 420°F.

Slice the Brussels sprouts in half or quarters, depending on how large they are and place them in a large bowl or colander to rinse.

Transfer to a large baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

Then, sprinkle dry Ranch seasoning on top and toss to cover. Arrange in a single layer before cooking.

Bake in the oven for approximately 20-25 minutes (stirring halfway), or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly charred.

While the veggies are roasting, use a small bowl to microwave the butter and buffalo sauce together and set aside.

Tip: Butter takes some of the heat out of the spicy buffalo sauce. If you want a spicier version, use less butter or feel free to omit completely.

Once the sprouts are cooked through, remove from the oven and top with the buffalo/butter sauce. Then, return to the oven for another 5 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Then, garnish with fresh parsley, green onion or blue cheese crumbles.

Serve with homemade ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing for dipping and enjoy!

Air Fryer Buffalo Brussels Sprouts Instructions

To make this great recipe in the air fryer, preheat air fryer to 400°F. Prepare sprouts and toss with oil and seasoning as instructed above.

Arrange in a single layer in your air fryer basket or tray and cook for 15 minutes, stirring or shaking the basket about halfway through.

Add the buffalo butter mixture and fry for another 5 minutes and serve with garnish and dips as desired.
